THE ROAD TO PUROK BANGKAL

Looking at the road leading to Purok Bangkal, one would immediately hesitate to take even the first step on it.

But then I have and found purpose and meaning to my life in this place where many would not even consider visiting. The Lord has so long ago prepared me for the labor that I now do (even when I lived a life apart from Him): advancing His kingdom in this remote and needy community of farmers and fisher folk.

IRC Sagay is building relationships as we share with the young and old alike the hope we have in Christ Jesus. We are meeting needs, changing mindsets and fostering a sense of family that is even now slowly transforming this community. But we have to be present to effect the transformation.

We have to journey with the community. We have to live with them. I have heeded the call and made the commitment. I now call Purok Bangkal home. Thank you Lord.
